Our workshop is over in the Patparganj Industrial Estate, specifically at number 142 in Sector 11. It's an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of machinery and trucks nearby. We work with numerical tools and technical equipment. The space is functional, like the name of the estate suggests. We have benches for testing and shelves full of parts. It’s not a place for suits and ties. We wear work clothes and usually have some grease or dust on our hands by noon. It’s honest work. The estate is quite large, so people sometimes get lost trying to find our unit. Once you’re inside, it’s all business. We’ve been operating out of this spot for several years. We know the other shop owners on this block. We trade favors or borrow tools when needed. That's the nice thing about being in an industrial zone. There's a sense of community among the workers. The building itself is sturdy and does its job. We don’t have a fancy lobby. People just walk in through the main door. We spend a lot of time calibrating things and making sure the measurements are right. It requires a lot of focus. We take our lunch together usually. Sometimes we just grab something from the vendor outside. It’s a steady pace here. We keep the machines running and the orders moving. It’s what we do every day.
