We are based at 27/18 on the First Floor in East Patel Nagar. It’s a nice enough neighborhood, and our shop has become a bit of a fixture here over the years. Mec Computer Pvt. Ltd. isn't a very large operation, just a handful of us who know our way around a PC. The walk up the stairs is a bit narrow, so it can be a challenge when we’re carrying heavy boxes of printers or desktop towers. Inside, the space is divided between a front counter and a workshop in the back. There’s usually a faint smell of solder and ozone because there’s always something being repaired. We have shelves filled with old components that we keep just in case someone needs a rare part. It’s a bit of a cluttered place, but that’s just the nature of the business. We have a small fan that wobbles when it’s on the high setting, but it keeps us cool enough. Most of our customers are from the surrounding blocks, so we know many of them by name. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. We just answer the phone and help whoever walks through the door. Sometimes we stay late on a Friday to finish a repair so someone can have their computer back for the weekend. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady and we like the people we work with.
