Orient Fashions

Orient Fashions is situated at F-164 in Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi. Most people know Sarojini Nagar because of the big market, but we are tucked away in the F-block. It’s a bit different from the main shopping rows. We’ve been here for a good while, and we’ve seen the market change quite a bit over the years. Our space is where we handle the fashion side of things. It’s not a big, sprawling warehouse; it’s more of a compact workshop. We have piles of clothes and various fabrics scattered around most of the time. It’s a bit messy, but it’s a productive kind of mess. We spend our days looking at designs and checking the stitching on various items. Because we are in Sarojini Nagar, there’s always a lot of energy around us. You can hear the sounds of the market throughout the day. We don’t really bother with fancy decor or anything like that. We just need enough light and space to work on the clothes. People sometimes wander in thinking we are a retail shop, but we usually have to tell them we’re more on the production side. It’s a nice place to work because you’re right in the heart of the city’s fashion hub. We just keep doing our work, one piece at a time, and don't worry too much about the rest. It's a busy life but it suits us well and keeps us occupied.
