Swar Apparels

Swar Apparels is based in the Okhla Industrial Area, right at B-20/1 on the second floor. We are situated near the Vodafone office, which makes it a bit easier for people to find our building in this busy district. The second floor is almost always filled with the rhythmic sound of sewing machines. It is a constant noise that defines our workday. We have long tables where the fabric is laid out and cut into pieces before being passed along to the tailors. There are always piles of thread, needles, and fabric scraps scattered around the workstations. The lighting is bright and industrial, designed so that everyone can see the stitches clearly. It is not a place for quiet reflection; it is a place for production. We spend a lot of time checking seams and making sure the buttons are sewn on properly. The air is often thick with a bit of lint, and the smell of new cloth is everywhere. We take our breaks together when the power goes out or when we finally turn the machines off for the day. Okhla can be a very hectic place with a lot of trucks and traffic, but inside our unit, we just focus on the garments in front of us. It is a practical, no-nonsense environment where we do the same thing day after day. We just try to keep the production line moving and meet our deadlines.
