If you go to the K. L. Gupta Complex on New Rohtak Road, you’ll find us at No. 9935. That’s where Nxt Fabrics is based. We spend our days surrounded by big rolls of material and small fabric swatches. It’s a lot of measuring and cutting, and your hands can get pretty tired by the end of a long shift. The complex is quite large, so we have a few neighbors who do different kinds of trade. We all know each other and say hello in the hallways when we’re getting water. New Rohtak Road is always packed with traffic, so the sound of constant horns is basically our background music while we work. Inside the unit, we try to keep things organized, but when a lot of orders come in at once, it can get a little messy on the floor. We don't mind it too much though. It just shows we have plenty of work to do. We don't have a big front office or a receptionist waiting to greet people. Usually, one of us just looks up from the cutting table when someone walks through the door. We’ve been at this for a few years now. The lighting in the back area is a bit dim, so we have to use extra lamps to see the threads clearly. It’s a humble setup, but it’s ours and we’re proud of it. We just try to get the fabric out to whoever needs it. It’s a solid way to spend the day.
