N.S.Gift Corner

Nehru Place is a pretty busy part of town, and we have our spot right here at Plot No.G-6/92. It is in the Deepali Building, which most people around here can point you toward if you get a little turned around. Being near the Bus Stand Road means there is always a lot of activity going on outside. You hear the horns and the people rushing to catch their rides all through the day. N.S.Gift Corner has been sitting in this space for some time, and we just kind of go about our business. It isn’t a huge place, just a regular shop where we keep things organized as best as we can. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, so we are usually cleaning or moving things around. The morning starts with opening the shutters and watching the area wake up. It’s a good location because everyone passes by on their way to the bus. We don't have any fancy signs or anything like that. People just know us because we’ve been at this address for a long time. The Deepali Building is a familiar landmark for the locals. It feels like a part of the neighborhood history. We see the same faces every morning. It gets quiet in the evening after the rush dies down, and that is when we usually finish up. It is just a simple way of working, keeping the shop open and being here at our plot in Nehru Place.
