Newgen Software Tech Limited has its office at 1329 Laxmi Bai Nagar in New Delhi. This part of the city is usually a bit calmer than the main commercial districts, which is something we all appreciate. The building at 1329 is a regular structure, and our workspace inside is equally unpretentious. We have a lot of computers set up, as you would expect for a software tech company, and there are wires running along the floor in a few places that we really should tidy up one day. The walls are mostly bare, except for a few calendars and some notes we’ve pinned up to remember certain project deadlines. We spend our days mostly staring at screens and discussing different technical problems that need solving. It is not a glamorous job, but it is what we know how to do. Sometimes we go out for a walk around Laxmi Bai Nagar during our break just to get some fresh air. The office has a bit of a quiet atmosphere, which helps when we need to concentrate on difficult coding tasks. We are not a massive team, so everyone knows exactly what everyone else is working on. It’s a simple, functional place where we just get through our list of things to do and then head home for the day. There are no fancy titles or big egos here.
