Being in Okhla Industrial Area Phase 1 means there is always noise. C-103 is where Neelkanth Apparels is located, and it is a busy building. We deal with garments and clothes all day long. There are stacks of fabric and boxes everywhere you look. It is not the cleanest place because it is an industrial zone, but it is where the work gets done. We have a lot of people coming in and out, mostly delivery trucks and staff. The stairs are a bit narrow and the air is always filled with the sound of machines running. We do not have a big reception or fancy chairs. Just desks and tables for the work. It gets hot in the summers, especially in this part of Delhi. We just drink a lot of tea and keep the fans going. Most of our neighbors are also factories, so everyone is busy with their own thing. We have been in this part of Phase 1 for some time. We know the tea seller at the corner and the guys who fix the machines. It is just a regular workplace. We do not do much talking about goals or stuff like that. We just make sure the orders are ready and the piles of clothes do not get too high. It is a long day from start to finish. We pack things up and head home when the sun goes down. That is how it goes here at Okhla.
