Srishti Leather Lifestyle

We’ve been working out of Plot No. 4/5 in Arjun Park for a few years now. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here to Nangli Sakrawati if you aren't from this side of Najafgarh, but we like the space. Our day usually starts early, getting the leather sorted and checking what needs to be stitched first. It gets dusty, and the smell of the hides is pretty strong, but you get used to it after a week or two. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. It’s just a handful of us working with our hands and a few old machines that sometimes need a bit of a kick to stay running. We make different kinds of leather items, mostly whatever people in the neighborhood or our regular buyers ask for. There is always a pile of scrap leather in the corner that we try to use for smaller bits, though it never seems to get any smaller. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break and sit on the stools outside. If you come by, you’ll probably see us surrounded by thread, needles, and half-finished bags or jackets. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. We don’t have fancy showrooms, just the workshop here in the park where the real work happens every single day for Srishti Leather Lifestyle.
