Our office is over at Qr-No B/300 in Nalco Nagar. Being in Angul means we are right in the middle of all the industrial activity. It is a very practical setup here in Orissa. We are not in a big glass building or anything fancy like that. It is more of a functional space where we handle all the engineering work. Some days are much quieter than others, depending on what is going on at the plants nearby. The team usually grabs tea from the small local spots around the district. We have been at this address for a bit, so the neighbors in the block know who we are. Engineering can be a bit messy and technical, so our office reflects that. There are papers and old diagrams all over the place. It is not a place meant for showing off, just for getting the work done. We deal with power systems and the technical side of things, which keeps us busy most of the time. The weather in Angul gets really hot in the summer months, which often affects how we plan out our working days. We mostly just focus on the tasks at hand and getting the equipment sorted. It is a straightforward operation. We do not go in for big speeches or meetings. People just come here when they need something fixed or planned out. It is a small crew, but we have been doing this for a long time now.
