MS Trading Rope Co.

Down at 344, Kumar Wali Gali in Rampura, things are always a bit crowded. That is where we run MS Trading Rope Co. and the name basically tells you everything you need to know about what we do. The alleyway is narrow, so when we get a delivery of new rope, it’s always a bit of a struggle to get everything moved inside without blocking the whole path. We have all kinds of ropes stacked up against the walls—thick ones, thin ones, nylon, and jute. It smells like earth and plastic in here, depending on which pile you are standing next to. My hands have gotten pretty rough over the years from handling the coils every day. We don't really do anything fancy; we just get the orders, measure out the lengths, and get them ready for whoever is picking them up. Some days are slow and we just sit near the front of the shop watching people go by in the gali. Other days, we are so busy we barely have time to grab a bit of lunch from the stall around the corner. It is a simple business in a busy part of town. The building is old and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we need. We just keep track of our stock and try to make sure we don't run out of the stuff people ask for most. It is just life in the lane.
