MODERN MACHINE TOOLS

Our shop is tucked away at B-118 in Mayapuri Phase 1, right near Gate-V-Jon. If you know this area, you know how busy it gets with all the trucks and people moving metal around. We’ve been running Modern Machine Tools from this spot for quite a bit. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things twice. The walls are covered in old calendars and some tools we’ve had for twenty years. It isn’t the kind of place where people wear suits. Most of us are in work clothes that have seen better days. We handle a lot of different machinery needs for folks around here and sometimes from further away. It’s noisy and there’s always the smell of cutting oil in the air, but you get used to it. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of the real stuff happens on the floor with the iron and steel. Sometimes things go wrong or a machine acts up, and we just stay late until it’s sorted out. There isn’t any secret to it, just showing up every morning and getting the jobs done as they come in. We like being in Mayapuri because everything you need is right around the corner. It’s a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the crowds, but it’s home for us. We just keep our heads down and keep the machines running.
