Our office is over in Mehrauli, right near the Auliya Masjid at T-21/8. It’s an old part of South West Delhi, and the lanes can be pretty narrow and confusing if you aren’t from around here. We’ve been working out of this spot for some time, and everyone in the neighborhood knows where we are. Usually, the morning starts with a lot of noise from the street, and we sit around with some chai trying to figure out the schedule for the day. There’s always someone coming in to ask about a small repair or some bigger construction work they’re planning. We have a few desks crammed into the room, and there’s always dust on everything because that’s just how construction offices are. We aren't the type to wear suits or use big words to explain things. Most of the guys are out on the sites by nine, and the office stays quiet until they come back with more paperwork in the evening. It’s a simple setup. We deal with concrete, steel, and laborers all day long. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit by the window to see what’s happening at the masjid. It’s a real place with real people who just want to finish the job and go home to their families. We don’t have a marketing department or anything like that, just our address and a door that stays open to anyone who needs some work done.
