Mittal Teas

Down in the basement area of New Delhi House, specifically at GF-6, is where we keep things going for Mittal Teas. Barakhamba Road is always shouting with noise—horns honking, people rushing to the metro, and the general chaos of central Delhi. Our little corner feels a bit tucked away from all that. When you walk in, you get that heavy scent of dried leaves and tea, which is much better than the car exhaust outside. We’ve been at number 27 for a long time. The office is small and filled with tins and boxes. We spend a lot of our day just sorting through stuff and talking to folks who drop in. It’s not a high-tech operation; we use a lot of old ledgers and the same pens we’ve had for years. Sometimes the lights flicker when the building’s old wiring acts up, but we just keep working. We see all sorts of people walking past our door, from office workers in suits to tourists looking a bit lost. We don’t have any fancy lounge or a receptionist. If you come in, you’ll probably just see one of us at a desk covered in samples. It’s a bit messy, but it’s a good kind of mess. We just like being here in the middle of the city, doing our thing while the rest of the world rushes by outside. It's a busy life but it keeps us on our toes.
