Mini Singh

The workshop for Mini Singh is over at A-37 in the Flatted Factory Complex in Jhandewalan. It’s an older building, so you have to take the stairs if the lift is acting up again, which happens more than we'd like. We’ve been here for a good few years now. The space is mostly just tables and boxes piled up. It's not a showroom or anything like that. We spend most of the morning just sorting through what needs to be done. Sometimes the noise from the other units in the complex is a bit much, but that’s just how it is in Jhandewalan. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. It’s just us here working on orders. We get a lot of regulars who know exactly where to find us in the complex. The windows stay open when it’s hot, and we usually have the radio playing in the background. It feels like a real workplace, not a sterile office. We have piles of fabric or materials everywhere depending on what month it is. Sometimes it’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. If someone stops by, we usually have to move a chair or some boxes so they can sit down for a minute. It’s a practical place for practical work. We try to keep things straightforward and don’t worry too much about the small stuff. It’s just a busy unit in a busy part of town doing our best to keep up.
