Varishtra Creation

At Varishtra Creation, we do things a little differently because we are based out of an MIG flat in Mayur Vihar Phase 3. Specifically, we are in flat number 149-B. It is not your typical storefront on a main road, but a more quiet and personal setup within a residential block. Working from a flat means we have to be very organized with our space, as we use one of the rooms for our inventory and another for the actual work. It is a bit of a climb if the lift is not working, but the view of the neighborhood is nice from the balcony. We mostly handle creative work and some garment production on a smaller scale. Because we are in a housing complex, we have to be mindful of the neighbors and keep the noise down, especially in the afternoons when people are resting. It feels more like a home than a business sometimes, which we actually quite like. We spend a lot of time on our sewing machines or cutting fabric on the floor. The light in the flat is pretty good during the morning hours, which helps with the detailed work. It is just a small team of us, and we usually have tea together in the kitchen during our breaks. We like the community feel of Mayur Vihar and being part of the local life here. We don't have a big neon sign, just a small nameplate by the door. That is how we work.
