Micron Engineers (India)

We are based at Rz-30 in East Sagarpur, specifically in Gali Number 6. If you know the area, we are right across from the Rewari railway line. The sound of the trains passing by is something we hear all day, and you can even feel the floor vibrate a little bit when a heavy one goes past. The shop is in a narrow lane, so it can be a bit of a squeeze when we are moving materials in and out. It is a real neighborhood setup, where everyone knows everyone else in the gali. Our workspace is packed with machines and workbenches, leaving just enough room for us to move around. We have been in East Sagarpur for quite a while, and we’ve gotten used to the busy, crowded feel of the place. There is no corporate polish here; the walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the lighting is just some basic tubes hanging from the ceiling. We spend our days working on various engineering projects, often staying late if a job is particularly tricky. We usually have a radio playing somewhere to drown out the railway noise. Most of our customers are from the local area or people who have been coming to this gali for years. We don't have a mission statement or any fancy brochures. We just open up the shop, get our tools ready, and work until the day is done. It’s a simple way to make a living in this part of the city. We often have tea with the neighbor who runs the small press next door.
