You can find Hydro Bricks India at C-195 in Phase 2 of the Mayapuri Industrial Area. Being in this part of town means it’s never really quiet. There is always the sound of machinery or trucks idling nearby. Our daily life is mostly about bricks. We handle a lot of raw materials, and the yard is usually full of stacks waiting to be moved out. It’s a bit of a gritty job, and we usually end the day covered in mud or dust depending on the weather. We aren't sitting in air-conditioned offices; we’re out there on the floor making sure the machines are running and the bricks are coming out okay. Sometimes a motor burns out or a belt snaps, and we have to drop everything to fix it ourselves. It’s not fancy, but it’s what we do. People come to us when they are starting a new building or just patching up a hole in a wall. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. You just come to the yard and see what we have. Most of our conversations are pretty short and to the point. We talk about how many thousands of bricks someone needs and when the truck can get there. The heat in the summer can be tough, but we just start earlier in the morning to beat it. Mayapuri is a crowded place, but we’ve been here long enough to feel at home among all the factories and warehouses.
