M S Joy Thomas Engg Pvt Ltd is located in New Delhi, specifically in the Kalkaji area. We are on the second floor of a building called Haveli, which is at 1802/9 in the G. P. Extension. Kalkaji is a really busy part of the city, so there’s always something going on outside our windows. Being an engineering company, you might expect a lot of high-tech gear, but our office is pretty old-fashioned. We have plenty of paper drawings, big tables for looking at blueprints, and shelves full of technical books. It’s a bit of a climb up to the second floor, but it gives us a bit of a break from the noise on the street. We don’t have any polished marketing materials or a big sales pitch. We just take on engineering projects and try to get them right. It’s a lot of calculating and checking things twice. The office can get a bit hot in the Delhi summer, but we have a few fans that keep the air moving. We aren't a huge team, so everyone knows what everyone else is doing. It’s a very practical environment. We usually eat our lunch together and talk about whatever is happening in the news. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s real work that we take pride in. We’ve been in this spot for years and it suits us just fine.
