Lavazza Barista Coffee Company Limited

Our coffee shop is located in Dilshad Colony in New Delhi. Lavazza Barista Coffee Company Limited is the name, but to the people around here, we are just the local spot for a hot drink. The shop isn't very large, which makes it feel a bit more personal. We have a few tables and chairs where people can sit and talk or read the paper. The smell of roasted beans is the first thing you notice when you walk in. I spend a good part of my day cleaning the espresso machine and making sure the counters are tidy. The floor shows a lot of wear from all the people coming in and out, but that’s fine with us. We have a window that looks out onto the street, and it’s nice to watch the neighborhood wake up in the morning. We start our shift quite early to get the first pots ready. Sometimes the equipment gives us a bit of trouble and we have to tinker with it to get it running again. We aren't trying to be a fancy corporate lounge. We just want to provide a decent place for a cup of coffee. We don't have any big advertisements or flashy signs. It is just about the coffee and the people who live nearby. It is a good way to earn a living, talking to our neighbors and keeping the cups full throughout the day.
