You can find us in Shahdara, right at Shop No 2/4 in Chota Bazar. It’s a busy market area where people come to get their household items. We specialize in kitchenware, or what everyone calls bartan. Our shop is filled with stainless steel pots, brass plates, and aluminum pans. They are stacked all the way to the ceiling, so you have to be careful when you walk through. It can get pretty noisy when we’re moving the stock around because everything is made of metal. We’ve been here in Chota Bazar for a long time. People usually come to us when they are setting up a new kitchen or when someone is getting married. We sell individual spoons and large cooking vessels too. The floor is concrete and the walls are lined with wooden shelves that have seen better days. It’s a practical place. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations because the utensils take up all the space. We spend our days polishing the display items and helping customers choose the right weight of steel. Some people like the heavy stuff, others want something lighter. We just show them what we have in the back if they don't see it upfront. It’s hard work lifting the heavy crates, but it’s what we do every day. The market can be chaotic, but our shop is a steady part of it. We just open the doors and get to work.
