Cook

Our operation is located over at the RLAC campus on Benito Juarez Marg. We are specifically based in the R.C. Verma S.O. Accounts area, which is part of the University of Delhi. It is a very busy spot because there are always students and faculty members walking around. We handle the cooking side of things for the people here. Every morning starts quite early for us as we have to get the kitchen ready and start prepping the ingredients. It is a lot of hard work, standing for long hours and making sure everything is cooked properly. The kitchen is functional but it gets very hot in the summer months when all the stoves are running at the same time. We are a small crew and we have a routine that we follow every single day. We don't have a fancy dining room, just a plain area where we serve the food. Most of the people who come here are regulars who work in the accounts section or study nearby. We know what they like to eat and we try to keep things consistent. Sometimes the delivery of vegetables is late because of the Delhi traffic, and we have to scramble a bit to get things finished on time. It is not a glamorous job, but it is steady and keeps us busy. We just focus on the pots and pans and getting the meals out to whoever needs them.
