Our place is up on the second floor at A-1 on the Ring Road in Naraina Vihar. It’s a busy spot with lots of traffic outside all day. Inside, we deal with different kinds of home appliances. We have boxes stacked up and people coming in and out to talk about spare parts or new models. It gets a bit cramped sometimes when a big shipment arrives and we have to move things around. The stairs are a bit steep but once you’re up here, it’s a standard workspace. We’ve been in this part of Delhi for a good bit now. Everyone knows the Ring Road is always packed, so we try to get things done before the evening rush starts. It is mostly desks and phones and some display units scattered around. We spend a lot of time talking to dealers and making sure the kitchen stuff gets where it needs to go. Sometimes the lift doesn't work right, so we end up carrying things. It's not a corporate showroom with glass walls; it’s just where we work. We have tea around four and talk about what needs fixing. We keep the inventory records in big binders and on an old computer that hums. It gets noisy with the traffic noise from the Ring Road leaking in through the windows. We just try to stay organized and keep the orders moving through Naraina Vihar.
