Our shop is on the ground floor at Wz-622 in Ramgarh Colony. We are right on Street Number 9, just across from Kirti Nagar. It’s a busy spot to be in. There is always someone walking by or a bike zooming through the lane, especially in the evenings. We’ve been in this space for quite a while now. The room is packed with sewing machines and big rolls of cloth leaning against the walls. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of work to finish, but we manage to find space. My brother and I run the place together. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person to handle things. If you want something stitched, you just come in and tell us what you need. We have some old wooden chairs for people to sit on while they wait or talk to us. The light in the morning is the best for seeing the fine details of the fabric. By the late afternoon, we have to turn on all the tube lights. We know most of the people who live in this part of the colony. They bring us their clothes to mend or ask us to make something new for a festival. It’s honest, simple work. We don't promise anything we can't actually do. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and talk until the lights come back on. That is just how it is here. Street 9 is a good place to work. We keep the front door open for the breeze.
