Khemsons

Khemsons is our little shop at 1876/1 on Gurudwara Road. We are right in Kotla Mubarakpur. One of the best things about our location is the big neem tree nearby. It provides a lot of shade, which is a blessing when the sun is beating down on the road. People often use that tree as a landmark to find us since the shop numbers can be a bit confusing around here. The road is always busy because of the Gurudwara, so there are people walking by at all hours. We have a small space, mostly filled with the items we sell. It’s not very organized, if I’m being honest. We just stack things where they fit. Sometimes it takes a minute to find a specific item, but we usually know where everything is hidden. The floor is concrete and a bit worn out from years of people coming in and out. We don't have air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that creaks a bit when it’s on the high setting. Kotla Mubarakpur is a noisy place, but you get used to the sounds of the street. We’ve been here for a long time, and we know most of the people who live and work on this stretch of Gurudwara Road. It’s a decent life, just running the shop day to day and watching the world go by from under the shade of that neem tree.
