We are based right in the heart of Chandni Chowk, at number 736 in Katra Neel, Nai Basti. If you’ve ever been to this part of Old Delhi, you know how packed and lively it is. Our shop is in one of those narrow lanes where you have to watch your step because of the rickshaws and people everywhere. We deal with various creations, mostly textiles and traditional wear. The space we have is quite old, with high ceilings and walls that have seen many years of business. We don't have air conditioning, so we rely on old ceiling fans to keep us cool during the Delhi summers. Most of our day involves talking to customers who squeeze into the shop and looking through piles of fabric. It’s a lot of physical work, pulling things down from high shelves and folding them back up again. We don't use fancy computer systems for everything; a lot is still done with pen and paper in our ledgers. The atmosphere is always busy, with the smell of street food and the constant noise from the market outside. We’ve been in Katra Neel for a long time, and we know almost everyone on this block. It’s a community of traders and shopkeepers. We don't do any flashy advertising because people know where to find us. It’s just honest, hard work in a very old part of the city, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
