Our place is pretty easy to spot because we are right opposite Metro Pillar No 308 in New Moti Nagar. If you’re coming by the train, you just look out the window and there we are at Plot No A 2/13. Being Khai Bak Designer Pvt Ltd means we spend a lot of our time tucked away in this specific plot, dealing with the daily grind. The metro rumbles past every few minutes, which was distracting at first, but now we don’t even notice the vibration. The space at A 2/13 is where all the actual work happens. It’s not a showroom designed to impress people; it’s a working building with scraps of material and desks piled with notes. We try to keep things moving, though sometimes the logistics in New Moti Nagar can be a bit of a headache with the traffic around the pillars. We’ve had some long nights here when the deadlines are tight, fueled by way too much coffee and local snacks. The gate at Plot A 2/13 has a bit of a squeak that we keep meaning to fix, but we never quite get around to it. It is a real place with real people doing their best. We don’t use big words or pretend to be something we are not. We are just here across from Pillar 308, doing what we do every day.
