Lady Comfort

The shop is located at No. 5700 Reghar Pura in Karol Bagh. It's a crowded area, especially being so close to the Jama Masjid. If you know Delhi, you know how these streets get. Lady Comfort has been sitting in this spot for years. Most mornings start with a cup of tea from the stall nearby while we wait for the first customers to wander in. The building itself is old, like most things in this part of Karol Bagh. We mostly deal with everyday wear and stuff people need for their daily lives. It gets loud outside with the rickshaws and people shouting, but inside we just try to keep things organized. There are boxes stacked up to the ceiling sometimes because we get a lot of stock in at once. It’s not a big corporate showroom. It’s more of a place where you just come in, find what you need, and head back out into the heat. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the right size in the back, but we get it done. Dealing with the traffic in Reghar Pura is probably the hardest part of the day, but once we are inside, it's just about managing the clothes and talking to the regulars who have been coming to us for a long time.
