Karman Creation

Karman Creation is over in Karol Bagh at No. 9/19 Park Area. It’s a busy part of the city, so there’s always noise from the street coming through the windows. We’ve got a workshop feel here. There are patterns pinned to the walls and thread clippings on the floor no matter how much we sweep. We started Karman Creation because we wanted to make things ourselves instead of just selling what others made. It’s been a learning process. Some days everything goes right, and other days the machines act up or the fabric isn't what we expected. We don't have a professional decorator for the place. We just put things where they fit. You’ll find rolls of denim and cotton stacked in the corners. Our team is small, just a few people who really know how to cut and sew. We don't do big presentations or anything like that. If someone wants to see what we do, we just show them the pieces we’re working on right then. It’s an honest way to work. We spend more time at our benches than we do at our desks. Karol Bagh is a tough place to run a business because there’s so much competition, but we’ve managed to stay around by just being consistent. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s ours and we’re proud of the work.
