Everest Silk Emporium

Everest Silk Emporium is located at 336/65- A Central Road in Ghaffar Manzil. This is right in the Jamia Nagar area of Okhla. It is a very crowded part of the city and the noise from the traffic on Central Road never really stops. Inside the emporium, we have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, packed with different types of silk. It’s a lot of work to keep the dust off the fabric, so we are always cleaning. We spend a lot of our day helping people choose the right cloth for their needs. We don't use any high-pressure sales tactics. We just show the silk and let the quality speak for itself. The lighting in the shop is a bit old-fashioned, but it helps show the true colors of the material. There is a tea vendor who comes by twice a day, and we always stop for a quick drink. We’ve been at this location for a good number of years now. The building is showing its age, but it’s home to us. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that people know where to find good silk in Okhla. It’s a simple business and we enjoy the daily interactions with our customers.
