Down in Vishwas Nagar, specifically in Gali No 6, you will find our small office. The address is Hno 6 111, and it is right in the heart of Shahdara. Being in Delhi 110032 means we are in a very crowded and lively part of the city. Jain Consultancy Shahdara Delhi has been a part of this street for quite a while now. The lane is quite narrow, so if two bikes come at once, someone has to wait. We spend our days inside this room, surrounded by stacks of paper and the sound of the ceiling fan. It is a very local kind of place. We know most of the people who walk past our door. Our work involves a lot of reading and filling out forms for people who aren't sure how to do it themselves. It is not glamorous, but it is what we do. The walls are a light shade of blue that has faded over the years. We have a couple of wooden desks and some old chairs that creak when you sit down. During the rainy season, the street outside gets a bit messy, but people still find their way to us. We don't have a website or anything like that; people just know we are here in Gali number six. We start early and stay until the streetlights come on and the market noise starts to fade a little bit, then we lock up and go home.
