Factoring House

We’re located over in B-66 Naraina. It’s a pretty standard commercial area, lots of warehouses and small offices around us. Our place is basically just a room full of calculators, ledgers, and a few computers that have seen better days. We deal with factoring and accounts, which sounds a bit dry, and I guess it is. But it keeps us busy. We have a lot of regular clients who have been coming to us for years. They usually just walk in, sit down, and we go over their papers while drinking some chai. There’s a ceiling fan that makes a clicking sound on the medium setting, so we usually keep it on high or low. The floor is that old-fashioned stone that stays cool even when it’s boiling outside. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room with magazines. If you come in, you just talk to whoever is sitting closest to the door. We spend our mornings going through the mail and our afternoons chasing up payments. It’s a simple routine. Sometimes we stay late if the month is ending and the numbers don't add up right away. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We like the quiet of the office after the phones stop ringing at five. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people doing their jobs.
