J P G Engineers

We are set up on the second floor at B-128/129 in Nehru Vihar. This part of Delhi is always moving, and we’ve been here in the middle of it for several years. Our office is a bit of a climb up the stairs, but it’s a good space once you get there. We are J P G Engineers, though we don't spend much time on fancy titles. Most of the day is spent looking at drawings or talking on the phone with suppliers. The office has big windows, but they get pretty dirty from the Delhi dust, so the view isn't much to look at. We have some old filing cabinets that squeak every time you open them. It’s a working office, not a place for showing off. We keep the kettle going for tea and coffee throughout the day. The 110054 area is convenient for us. We know the local shops and where to get a quick lunch. We don't have a lot of corporate rules here. We just show up and do the engineering work that needs finishing. Sometimes we have to stay overnight to meet a deadline, but that’s the nature of the job. We are a small group and we get along well enough. We don't use big words or try to act like we're more than we are. We're just engineers trying to do a solid day's work and keep things moving. It’s what we know.
