We are located over at Madanpur Khadar in the JJ Colony area. Specifically, we’re in Phase III at House Number 303. This is actually where Ramji Lal lives, and we run the contracting business from here. It’s a busy residential part of South Delhi. Being near the site helps us keep an eye on things. My father, Sarjit Singh, always said that being close to the people you work for is important. We don’t have a flashy office with glass walls. It’s a simple room with the basic stuff we need to manage the daily jobs. The streets here are narrow, so we walk a lot. Most mornings start with a quick meeting outside to assign tasks to the crew. There is always someone coming by to ask about a small repair or a bigger building job. We keep our records in some old ledgers and a laptop that’s seen better days. The weather usually dictates how much we get done. If it rains, everything slows down in the colony. We spend those days caught up on paperwork or fixing our tools. It’s a local operation, so everyone knows everyone. We don’t bother with big advertisements. Most of our work comes from people just talking to each other in the neighborhood. We focus on the practical side of building. Sometimes we have to hunt for parts in the local market. It’s a honest way to earn a living in this part of Delhi. We plan to stay here for a long time.
