Iqra Leather Creations

We’ve been here at A-12 in S. P. Mukharjee Market for a good while now. It’s right on Faiz Road in the Karol Bagh area, so it gets pretty busy around here most days. We do leather work at Iqra Leather Creations. It isn’t some huge fancy factory or anything like that. We just have our space where we cut the leather and put things together. Mostly it’s just the sound of the machines and the smell of the hides coming in. People usually find us because they’re already walking through the market looking for something specific. Karol Bagh has changed a lot since we started, but we just keep doing what we know. My brother and a few others help out with the sewing and the finishing. Sometimes the shipments take longer than they should because the traffic on Faiz Road is a total mess. But we get the work done eventually. We don't really do big ads or anything. Most people just know where we are if they need leather stuff made. It gets hot in the shop during the summer months, but we have the fans going. We focus on making sure the stitches are straight and the leather is good quality before anything goes out the door. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. You’ll find us tucked in the market, usually surrounded by stacks of materials and half-finished projects. That's just how it is here.
