You can find us at 19 Ashok Road, which is right in the middle of everything in the 110001 zip code. It’s a busy part of the city, with lots of big buildings and offices nearby. Our place has been here for quite a while. It has those high ceilings and thick walls that you find in older constructions. Inside, it’s usually a bit quieter than the street outside, where the traffic is constant. We spend our days handling whatever comes our way. There isn’t a specific way to describe what we do other than we are a part of the daily life on this road. People come in for various reasons, some staying for a short time and others for longer. We have a few rooms that we use for different tasks. The furniture is mostly old wood and has seen better days, but it still works. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. That’s just part of being in this area. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or things like that written on the walls. We just come in, do what needs to be done, and head home in the evening. The trees outside on Ashok Road provide a bit of shade during the hot months, which is nice. We’ve watched the cars change and the people grow older from our windows here at number 19. It’s a steady kind of life, just watching the world move past the gate.
