Ihs Spices India Private Limited is tucked away in a DDA Janta Flat, specifically House No 132 on the ground floor. We are in the EWS section here in Badarpur, New Delhi. It’s a very local neighborhood, and everyone knows everyone else. Dealing with spices means the office usually smells pretty good, mostly like cumin or coriander depending on the day. We don't have a massive operation, just a small ground floor space where we pack things and handle the orders. It’s honest work, even if the space is a bit tight. Being in Badarpur means we’re close to the action, but it can get quite dusty outside. We spend our time checking the quality of the spices coming in and making sure the bags are sealed right. There’s a lot of lifting and moving stuff around, which keeps us busy. Sometimes we sit outside for a break when the weather isn't too hot. We’ve had to learn everything as we go, from how to source the best seeds to dealing with the local transport guys. It isn't always easy, and sometimes the power goes out in the middle of a busy afternoon. We just wait for it to come back and get back to work. It’s a simple life running a spice business from a Janta flat.
