We are located at the Institute of Genomics & Integrative Biology, right on Mall Road in Delhi. It’s a CSIR institution, so the atmosphere is definitely more on the formal side. Our specific spot is overseen by the Sr Technical Officer, and you might see the name Cm Hodkasia on some of the official correspondence here. The building has that classic institutional feel to it, with long hallways and plenty of lab equipment everywhere you look. Working on Mall Road means we get a bit of that University area vibe, which is nice compared to the more congested parts of the city. We spend our days dealing with a lot of technical data and lab results. It’s not the kind of place where things happen in a rush; everything has to be documented and checked properly. We have a lot of people coming in and out for different research projects, so there is always someone new in the corridors. The office itself is full of files, computers, and various scientific instruments. It’s a lot of quiet concentration punctuated by the sound of machines or someone discussing a report. We don't do much in terms of social events or flashy office perks. It’s mostly about the science and making sure the technical side of the institute runs like it should. We just show up, do the research or the admin work required, and navigate the usual paperwork that comes with a place like this in Delhi-110007.
