Helios Kidz Play School

We are located at Shop No B-89 B in Jyoti Colony, which is over in the Durgapuri-Shahdara part of Delhi. Helios Kidz Play School isn’t a huge institution; it’s more of a cozy place for the little ones in our neighborhood. The space we have is filled with toys, charts on the walls, and small chairs. It’s often quite noisy with all the toddlers running around and playing, but that's what a play school is supposed to be like. We started this because we saw a need for a place close to home where parents could leave their children for a few hours. Shahdara is a crowded area, so having a spot right in Jyoti Colony makes it easy for local families to walk their kids over. We don't have a giant playground, but we use the space we have as best as we can. The teachers here are mostly from around the block. We know the parents and see them at the market. It’s all very informal. We don't have shiny brochures or a corporate office. We just focus on keeping the kids safe and giving them a bit of a head start before they go to a bigger school. Sometimes things get messy with paint or snacks, but we just clean it up and start again the next day. It is a simple life here and we like seeing the children grow.
