Hasnabad Primary School

Hasnabad Primary School is located in Pocket F of Dilshad Garden, specifically at 249-A. It’s a quiet corner for the most part, though things change when the school bell rings. We’ve been here for quite some time now. Most of the children come from the surrounding blocks, so we see their parents at the market too. The school isn't huge. We have a few classrooms that we try to keep organized, but with young kids, that's a daily struggle. We spend a lot of time on basic stuff like alphabets and simple counting. The building itself is just a regular Delhi structure, nothing too flashy. We have a small area where kids play during their breaks. On hot summer days, the fans run constantly to keep the rooms decent. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything; people just know we are here. The staff members live around the area, and we walk to work most days. It feels more like a community spot than a big institution. There’s always someone dropping off a forgotten water bottle or a lunchbox. We just handle the day-to-day work of teaching and making sure the kids stay safe until their parents pick them up at two. It’s a repetitive job but it’s what we do. We like being part of the Dilshad Garden neighborhood and seeing the students grow up over the years.
