About Hasimnagar Primary School – Education in New Delhi
We've been running Hasimnagar Primary School here in Shakti Nagar Extension for a while now. It's up on the first floor of building A 1/4, right in the heart of the Ashok Vihar 3 area. Dealing with small kids all day is a lot of work, honestly. The morning starts early when the parents drop them off and the hallway gets really noisy. We have a few rooms where the students sit and do their lessons. It isn't a fancy place with high-tech stuff, just wooden desks and chalkboards mostly. The teachers here live nearby too, so we know most of the families walking by. Sometimes the traffic outside gets loud, but we just close the windows and keep going. We mostly focus on basic reading and math because that's what the kids need to get through their early years. Lunchtime is always a bit of a mess with everyone opening their tiffins at once. We spend our afternoons grading papers and making sure nobody gets hurt on the stairs during recess. It's a busy life in Delhi, and this school is just one small part of the neighborhood. We see the same faces every day. It's just a regular local school trying to get through the curriculum. Nothing more, nothing less. We keep the place as clean as we can, though kids always find a way to make a smudge on the walls. That’s just how it goes here.
