Hands & Palms is tucked away at No. 24/13 on the ground floor in Kapashera. We are pretty close to the Fun N Food Village, which is a big landmark around here. Our work is all about making clothes. The ground floor space is mostly filled with cutting tables, ironing boards, and sewing stations. It’s not a massive factory like some others, but we keep very busy with our production runs. Kapashera is a hub for the garment trade, so we are surrounded by other similar businesses and suppliers. We spend our days managing the workers, checking the stitches, and packing up the finished items. It’s a very hands-on environment, just like the name says. We don't have a showroom or anything like that; it’s a workspace through and through. The narrow streets around here are always full of people and fabric scraps. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine breaks down, and we just have to deal with it and keep moving. We work with a variety of fabrics and styles depending on what the current orders are. Most of us who work here have lived in the Kapashera area for a long time. We just try to do a decent job with the garments and make sure everything is ready on time. It’s a simple, hardworking business where we focus on the craft of making clothes every single day.
