You can find us at S 535 in Greater Kailash II. Being in this part of Delhi means we are surrounded by a lot of houses and local shops. Our school is a primary one, so we are mostly looking after the younger children. The day usually starts with a bit of a crowd at the entrance as parents drop their kids off before heading to work. We have a few classrooms and a small area for activities. It’s not a huge campus, just a practical space for primary education. We focus on the core subjects and try to keep the kids engaged with their books. The teachers here live nearby and they understand the pace of life in GK II. It gets a bit hectic when it rains or during the peak summer heat, but we just adjust the schedule and keep going. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment, just the basics like chalkboards and desks. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed for a school. We know most of the families by name since many of them have lived in this area for a long time. It’s a simple operation where we just take things one day at a time, making sure the children learn what they need to.
