Gurukul Pre Primary School

Over at X/1325 on Street Number-2 in Rajgarh Colony, you’ll find our pre-primary school. It’s a small place, mostly just a few rooms where the younger kids spend their mornings. Delhi can be a bit overwhelming, but this little pocket of Rajgarh Colony is where we’ve set up shop. The building is a typical house-style structure modified for classes. We have some colorful drawings on the walls and plenty of small chairs for the little ones. It gets pretty noisy when the kids are all here at once, singing or just playing during their break. We don't have a giant playground, so they mostly stay inside or in the small front area. The teachers are local women who have been with us for a while and they know how to handle the daily chaos of a pre-primary environment. We keep things very basic – learning the alphabet, numbers, and how to sit still for a bit. Parents from the surrounding streets usually just walk their kids over. We don't bother with expensive brochures or high-end tech; we just use what we have to help the kids learn. Sometimes things are a bit messy with toys and papers scattered around, but that’s just how it goes with that age group. It’s a plain, honest school for the local families who need a place nearby for their children to start out. We keep the routine simple and the environment friendly for every child.
