We operate out of a basement at 71 C in Sant Nagar, which is in the East of Kailash area. It’s a quiet enough street, but the basement stays busy with all the paperwork we have to handle. Since we deal with port services, there is a lot of tracking and coordinating that goes on every single day. The walls are lined with folders and there are maps pinned up here and there. It stays a bit cooler down here in the basement during the Delhi summer, which is a nice thing. We have a few computers that are always running and the printers are usually making noise. It’s not a fancy glass-walled office like you see in the movies. It’s a practical space where we can focus on getting shipments moved from one place to another. Sometimes the stairs get a bit dusty and the lighting isn't the brightest, but it suits us just fine. We have a small kettle for making coffee and tea because we spend long hours here. People often call us wanting to know where their cargo is, and we spend a lot of time checking the details. We’ve been in Sant Nagar for a long time now. Green Channel Inter-Port Services isn't about looking important; it's just about making sure the logistics side of things doesn't fall apart. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
