Govt. Lower And Higher Primary School

Our Govt. Lower And Higher Primary School is situated at J- 191 in Vikaspuri. It’s a residential part of Delhi, so the school is right in the middle of where the families live. The address is J-191, and we are easy to find if you are in the J-block. We have both lower and higher primary classes here. This means we have very small children and slightly older ones all in the same building. It’s a lively place, to say the least. The morning starts with a lot of noise as the kids arrive. Some come with their parents and others walk in groups. The building is a standard one, with bright drawings on the walls and small benches for the children. We try to keep things as organized as possible, but with kids, it’s always a bit messy. The teachers here are very used to the chaos. We spend our days teaching the basics like reading and math. The office is just a couple of desks where we keep the big registers. We don't have a computer lab or anything like that. It’s all very traditional. During the break, the kids play in the small open area we have. The lunch is prepared in the school kitchen and the smell of spices is always there in the afternoon. Vikaspuri is a busy neighborhood, but inside the school, it feels like its own little world. We’ve been at J-191 for many years and we know the local people well.
