Vasant Kunj is where we are based, specifically at T-309. It’s a decent-sized spot for Gloria Jeans Coffees Pvt Ltd. The morning usually starts with getting all the machines warmed up and ready. You can hear them hissing and clicking for a while before they are actually ready to use. We spend a lot of time just standing behind the counter waiting for the first rush of people. The floors are dark and they show every bit of dirt, so we are always mopping throughout the shift. T-309 has big windows that let in a lot of light, which is nice when it's cold outside. We have a few tables and chairs scattered around the floor. People bring their laptops and sit for hours, which makes the place feel full even when there are only a few customers. We don’t really talk much to each other while we work, we just know what needs to be done. The address is part of a bigger complex, so there’s always people walking by on their way to other shops or offices. We get our supplies delivered a couple of times a week. Moving the heavy boxes into the storage area is probably the hardest part of the job. We don't have any big mission, we just serve what’s on the menu. At the end of the day, we turn off the machines and lock the glass doors.
