Garg Systems

You’ll find Garg Systems right in the middle of the chaos at Kashmiri Market. We are at Shop No 4, which is basically right opposite Shanker Market in Connaught Place. Being in CP means it’s always crowded and there’s always someone asking for directions. Our shop isn't very large, so we have to stack the boxes pretty high to make everything fit. We handle computer systems and all the bits that go with them. It’s a lot of wires and keyboards and screens everywhere you look. Sometimes it feels like there’s barely enough room to turn around. We’ve been here in Connaught Place long enough to remember when the parking wasn't such a nightmare. Most of our day is spent fixing things or explaining why a certain part won't work with another part. It gets pretty technical but we try to keep it simple when we talk to people. There’s no big sales team here, just a few of us who know our way around a motherboard. We get a lot of walk-ins because of where we are. People are usually frustrated because their laptop died or they need a cable they forgot. We just help them out and send them on their way. It’s a bit of a frantic life working in a market like this, but we wouldn’t really know what to do with ourselves in a quiet office. It's just us and the machines, trying to keep everything running smoothly for everyone who comes in.
