Our office is located at Meena Bhawan, which is on Street Number 9 in Vishwas Nagar, Shahdara. It is a typical busy Delhi street with houses and shops all mixed together. We occupy a couple of rooms at number 27/29 where we handle consultancy for stocks. It is not a high-pressure environment like you might see on television. Most of the time, it is just us sitting at our computers and keeping an eye on the market news. We have a few televisions that stay on the financial channels, but we often keep the volume low so we can talk. People from the neighborhood often drop in with their papers to ask for a bit of help or to see how their investments are doing. We always have a pot of tea ready and some extra chairs for anyone who wants to sit for a while. The street outside is quite narrow and can get very loud with the sound of scooters and vendors, so we usually keep the windows closed. It can get a bit stuffy in the afternoons, but we have a good ceiling fan that helps. We have been in this building for several years now and have become a regular part of the street. We do not use any complicated jargon or try to sound like big-city bankers. We just talk to people plainly and help them with what they need. It is a small, local operation.
