We operate out of C-36 in Suraj Mal Vihar, which is over in the East Delhi area of Shahdara. It is a pretty normal neighborhood, and we have been here for a while now. Our main focus is on activewear. This means we spend our days dealing with a lot of synthetic fabrics and elastics. The workspace is usually covered in scraps of cloth and loose threads, but that is just how it goes when you are actually making things. We are just a small team of people. We don't have any corporate training or big offices. We just learned how to do this by doing it every single day. Most of our time is spent making sure the sizes are consistent and that the zippers don't get stuck. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just trying to make some decent clothes that people like to wear when they are being active. Suraj Mal Vihar is a good location for us because we are close to our suppliers. Sometimes the delivery vans get stuck in traffic on the way to Shahdara, which can be a bit of a pain. We just take it as it comes. It is a simple business. We buy the materials, we sew them together, and we hope the customers are satisfied. There is no hidden secret to it. It is just about putting in the hours and making sure the work is solid.
